Hello lovely people,

Well, good news at last. I had my first Rituximab infusion today. Got half way through and had a reaction which is quite common. I became very short of breath and my throat felt as if t were closing over and was itchy.
After an injection of hydrochortizone (spelling) and a 3/4 of an hour halt I was fit to go again on a slower speed.
The effects now is, I'm exhausted.

Will aim to go to work tomorrow. ........And I am now in receipt of DLA

Hope everybody is well and pain free

Hello Tracy

Glad that you have managed to have your first infusion of RTX. I did not manage to go to work as the drug
gave me a really bad rash. Mine had to be stopped for a short time as well, but not on the second infusion.

Let us know how you do over next few days

Good luck

Rose

Hi Tracey

I am glad you have had your first rituximab infusion but sorry you had a reaction. I really don't know anything about it so I can't offer any advice but I hope it works for you.
